"In looking for a new facility to accommodate our existing and future business operations, SciPark provided us with an opportunity to occupy a brand new, highly advanced building in a great location that we can build-out to meet our company's specific requirements for the right ratio of office to R&D space," said Greg McClatchy, president of Elementis PLC.
"Maintaining our presence in East Windsor and Einstein Alley also provides us with numerous advantages, including direct access to a highly skilled labor force in order to support our company's continued growth."
SciPark is fully approved for the development of four buildings totaling 240,000 sf.
Building One, 66,000 sf, is completed and fully leased to Elementis Holdings, PLC for their North American headquarters and research and production operations.
A central boulevard entry drive serves parking for the office laboratory areas and allows passenger drop-off. The buildings face each other, giving a community feel and a plaza effect. Trucks are immediately directed to use the outer drive, which is screened from public view by extensive landscaping and a berm. Parking is provided at 3 spaces per 1,000 sf overall. Amenities include a jogging path and picnic tables.
